Old Glory Is Still Proud
Betsy Ross made the first one
The Stars and Stripes, made with a needle and thread
The red, white and blue, freedom had been won
She flew when battlefields were blood-red.
She flies, letting the world know who we are
World War One and Two, The Civil War and Vietnam
D-Day and Pearl Harbor, and all the senseless wars
She remembers when they burned her, did not give a damn.
She’s been battered and beaten, disgraced in every way
With all her scars, she still flies
We salute the lady and pray
She’s always at half-mast when a soldier dies.
Old Glory is still proud through it all
God Bless her and "ONE NATION UNDER GOD"
Old Glory, be proud and don’t let us fall
OLD GLORY AND GOD
