ALONE IN THE NIGHT       

Cold, silent, and still
It would have been death if only
I had had the will

Alone in the darkness with no where to turn
Somewhere in the night a candle might still burn
The feeling is pure emptiness
And the look in your eyes tells the world what is going on inside

You sit silently alone thinking about the past
As the world rushes by
You wait for the end to come at last

Stop and think for a minute
All the people that you love
and everyone who cares now there seems
like no one but the people you need are there
