I HEARD THE THUNDER

I was scared, I awoke, sweating, oh so wet

In my bed, the first thought-I was dead

And the lighting was so bright, made me sweat with fear

The night I want to forget

A terrible dream, a nightmare in my head

What is going on here

Night stand is close, turn on a light

Soaking wet, stay calm and roll a smoke

Three in the morning, What the Hell

Just another nightmare in the middle of the night

Or the Devil's joke

Trying to scare me with his Hell

I heard the thunder

Lightning, that lit up the sky

God's warning and I can sleep at night

Oh it did roll, I heard the thunder

Where God's lightning strikes, I do not ask why

‘Cause when I hear his thunder, I know it will be all right
